• The Solomon Award in 2008 for Resource Development - given for the increase in local fund-raising with over 900,000 dollars by Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia
• The Esther Award in 2008 for best communication events – given for the "Eurobuild 2007”, Radauti and "10 homes, six days”, Cluj events, organized with the support of Vodafone Foundation Romania, by the Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia
• Award for the best fundraising campaign in March 2009 awarded for Habitat for Humanity’s campaign "Back to the shelter." The sixth edition of People for People Gala that honored the social involvement of companies, citizens and NGOs. The campaign has gathered a total of 884,053 euros and communicated the message of Habitat's disaster response in over 1380 companies. The organization has also managed to mobilize volunteers from companies, local authorities that have donated land and resources that have helped 110 families.
• The Millard Fuller Award for the number of assisted families and houses built in 2009 - awarded for the highest increase in the number of new and renovated buildings, given by Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia
• The Solomon Award in 2009 for Resources Development - awarded for raising local funds - one million euros from Petrom for the reconstruction of 110 homes affected by floods in Doljesti, jud.Neamt, awarded by Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia
• The Linda Fuller Award in 2009 for Volunteering - awarded to the 35 international teams of volunteers who worked from July 2008 - June 2009 in Romania, awarded by Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia
• The Award for the Program of the Year given to the Association Habitat for Humanity Romania for EuroHabitat 2007 at the “People for People” Gala, the “fundraising programs run by nonprofit institutions or organizations without political affiliation" category.
To build 27 houses in five days, HFH has mobilized over 600 volunteers and 675,000 euros (products, money and services). The campaign had two components: one to celebrate the integration and the other raising awareness for poverty living which is a problem and needs to be a priority for Romania and the EU.
• The Award for supporting Habitat for Humanity in the EuroHabitat2007 project, awarded to Lafarge Romcim at the People for People Gala “Contributions and sponsorship programs in cash or in kind provided by companies with over 250 employees” category.
Lafarge Romcim has supported the project with over 100,000 euro (money and materials). All of the 27 houses built in Radauti for the poor families have in their foundations cement and plaster walls from Lafarge.Lafarge also came with a team of volunteers from the company in each of the five days of construction.
• The Award Project for supporting Habitat for Humanity’s EuroHabitat2007 given to Camelia Sucu at the People for People Gala at the Donations and contributions of individuals "category"
Ms. Sucu chose to invest her own money into something sustainable, something that actually produces something that directly affects one's life in long term. She also decided to know the family for which she fully funded the home and to be close to the project untill the end. Ms. Camelia Sucu has assumed sensibly the role of donor reviewing all aspects before making a decision, she gave generously the amount needed to ensure a durable result and was personally involved in this program.
• Prize for the fundraiser activity attributed to Mario Demezzo for the 3 years activity in Habitat for Humanity at the "People for People" Gala in the "Coordinators of fundraising campaigns for the benefit of nonprofit institutions or organizations without political affiliation" category.
2,275,000, - Ron (equivalent to 600,000, - EUR) is the amount of resources collected by Mario Demezzo for Habitat. His motivation was to work daily with families who need homes and that manages to convey a strong message and motivate partners who can support the organization.
• Mention for the "Children do Europe" offered by the Civil Society Gala in the category "civic behavior and public participation."
• OSKAR Capital granted on August 20, 2008 to Habitat for Humanity Romania Association for the project to rebuild 360 homes affected by floods in Moldova.
• OSKAR Capital granted on September 24, 2008 to Petrom and the Habitat for Humanity Romania Association to begin the rehabilitation of 110 houses affected by flooding in the county of Neamt.
• The "Golden Award for Excellence" - given by the "Romanian PR Award" on October 2, 2008 to Habitat for Humanity Cluj that built 10 houses in a week, a Christian project in partnership with Vodafone Romania Foundation.
• OSKAR Capital given on October 8, 2008 to the Timken Ohio, Canton Foundation, for signing a partnership with the Habitat for Humanity Romania Association regarding rehabilitating homes in the Prahova county. The investment of the foundation in this project amounts for 154,000 USD, amount that has already been awarded to the association. The work has been done in the autumn of 2008.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on the 15th of Octomber 2008 to the BRD campaign, for the “Blitz Build – Rebuilding Dignity!” , by which 30 volunteers of the company will build in six days ahouse for a poor family in Cluj; the project is part of the partnership with Habitat for Humanity, in which the bank is donating 20,000 Euro to rehabilitate three homes. The construction of the house in Cluj is the last action in the partnership.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on the 29th of October 2008 to Lafarge and habitat for Humanity Romania, for renewing their partnership to build social homes. The two organizations will continue for another five years their agreement signed in 2003, which commits them to build and renovate homes for needy families. Within the partnership, Lafarge provides construction materials and helps build houses with volunteer teams. From 2003 to 2012, Lafarge's total contribution will amount to 300,000 euros.
• The award for social initiative awarded for the “A home for each” on 18 November 2008 by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. This award is due to the involvement of a number of companies and donations in money, building materials and services in the event of Radauti, Euro27Habitat Build.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on 26 October 2008 to Daimler Financial Services, for the involvement of a team of 50 volunteers from the companies employees, on a Habitat for Humanity site, rehabilitating a block of apartments for poor families in Pitesti. In addition to voluntary work performed by employees, the company has donated 25,000 euros for other construction projects of housing for disadvantaged families. As part of the project, three abandoned blocks have been rebuilt and 35 apartments have been reconditioned.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on 3 December 2008 to Petrom and The Habitat for Humanity Association, for pentru Petrom si asociatia Habitat for Humanity, for having completed the construction of the first 20 houses for displaced families in Doljesti (Neamt County). The reconstruction project stipulates that a further 90 houses are completed by the end of this year. In total, the homes rebuilt by the two organizations, with support from the Government of Romania, will live more than 500 people. Petrom investment in this project amounts to one million dollars, an unprecedented donation to Habitat Romania. Petrom has provided financial support for finishing the inside and the outside of the houses.

• OSKAR Capital awarded on 25 March 2009 to the Petrom company, for opening the 110 houses built for the victims of the floods in Doljesti (Neamt County), a project developed in partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the Romanian Government. The company’s investment amounted to one million dollars and the number of beneficiaries amounted to 500 persons. Petrom has undertaken a national campaign to raise aid for flood victims.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on the 1st of April 2009 to the Vodafone Foundation, for announcing the continuation of the partnership with Habitat for Humanity that began two years prior. The Foundation also announced that this year it will invest 300,000 euros to build 43 houses for poor families in eight counties. Besides financial investment, Vodafone will participate in building houses through volunteer work from their employees. The 43 apartments will be built during March-November 2009.
• At the Civil Society Gala in May 2009, Habitat received mention in the category of Behavior for civic and public participation:
- The Habitat Romanes Project - Oradea - project of integration the Roma and promote their social needs by building simple, decent houses with 500 local volunteers, politicians, media representatives, VIPs and business and increase people's involvement in improving the image of Oradea by promoting voluntary work.
- The Community Completion Project Nadasel - Cluj - 32 homes were built for families in need. In this sense, we wanted to involve both the relevant social actors and civil society in an effort to support the beneficiaries.
• OSKAR Capital awarded on 13 July 2009 to the Soros Foundation
and Habitat Romania by "Capital" to launch the community development project "A house, a future!" for Roma communities in Neamt and Prahova counties. Thus, 48 families from Baltesti (Prahiva) and Vanatori (Neamt) will build their homes with volunteer teams. "By the end, five houses will be build in Baltesti from a total of 24. The cost of a home is about $ 15,000, and the beneficiaries contribute an amount between 50 and 100 lei per month, for 20 years, "said Michael Grigorean, Project Manager, Habitat for Humanity Romania (HFHR).
• OSKAR Capital awarded 12 October 2009 to Habitat for Humanity by "Capital", for the Big Build `09 project dedicated to building homes for needy families. In this project Romanian sports personalities joined last week the 250 Romanian and international volunteers present at the Habitat Beius site. Ten houses began to be constructed over a week for ten needy families from Bihor, the interior finishes were done by teams that included the athlets Doina Melinte and Gabriela Szabo, the tennis player Ruxandra Dragomir, weightlifter Nicu Vlad, coach Mariana Bitang, rowers Elizabeth Lipa and Valeria Racila (Van Groningen).
